We are pleased to confirm that Encompass is releasing additional functionality on 23/02/2022.
Further details are available below, and if you have any questions at all please contact your Customer Success Manager
Beneficial/Non-beneficial Owners
With this enhancement, Encompass can now also extract Non-Beneficial Shareholders (NBH), where shares are held by the holding entity on behalf of another party, a common practice in Australia. This can now be done through your organisation's policy. Your Customer Success Manager will be in touch to arrange for this to be added to your policy.
Find more information on Non-beneficial shareholdings here.
Perspective
As well as the above change, also comes further functionality to the Perspective filter.
Persons who meet your Beneficial owner % and whose ownership is beneficially held, will display with a set of keys.
Where the Beneficial owner (person) is not available in the data, the company holding the % of ownership (according to your definition) will be identified with keys.
With a new Beneficial owners % that is independent of Perspectives, we have been able to simplify and offer two perspectives.
Users will now be able to set a percentage shareholding threshold and Encompass will calculate and indicate to you the beneficial owners who hold this % of beneficially held ownership in the existing data. This will control which entities are assigned keys in the chart
The “Perspective“ filter is to define which entities to show on chart, this includes both “Beneficially Held“ and “Non Beneficially Held“ shareholders, e.g: If “Ownership“ perspective is set to 25%, then users would see an entity(BH/NBH/both) whose individual or combined shares falls within 25%
